- Greetings, I am the new Archive intern for both ZAPP (Zine Archive and Publishing Project) and the Vera Project. For the next six months (through April 2010) I will embark upon a journey concerning all things historical at these two organizations. Having already been a ZAPP volunteer in the years past, I will spend this time getting reacquainted with the Zine collection and the electronic cataloging system. I will then take this knowledge and apply it towards the creation of a new system at The Vera Project. This blog serves as my personal account of this journey and all the challenges and rewards I will most certainly encounter throughout. My goal is to help determine the most effective and enduring method for preserving all the wonderful products that have come out of these two organizations and to make them readily accessible. I pursue this with an unflagging desire to acknowledge, maintain, and examine history wherever I may encounter it. I hope to apply this experience toward a career in the archival/museum field.
